SPECIAL COVER ON WORLD OZONE DAY

In 1994, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 16 September the International ozone day for the preservation of the ozone layer, commemorating the date of signing in 1987, of the Montreal Protection on Substances that deplete the ozone layer.

The ozone layer makes life as we know it possible. This year,we celebrate 35 year of global ozone layer protection.
On the occasion of "World Ozone Day" a special cover was released by India post in Bengaluru on September 16, 2020.
