IMPORTANT DAY: TEACHERS DAY – 05 SEPTEMBER

Every year since 1962, India has been celebrating September 5 as the Teacher's Day on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Teacher's Day also celebrated as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (05.08.1988,Thiruttani,TamilNadu - 17.04.1975,Chennai) was an Indian philosopher and statesman who served as the first vice-president of India (1952-1962) and the second president of India from May 14,1962 to May 13,1967.
